When a Cowes businessman decided to help highlight sewage in the sea around the Isle of Wight he didn't do it by halves.
Guy Boorman accepted the Surfers Against Sewage challenge to take a dip a day in the sea throughout October to help raise funds for their ongoing campaign for cleaner seas and waterways.
But not content with braving the autumn chill, to make the month a bit more interesting Guy decided to try and swim in a different Isle of Wight location each day.
He told the Isle of Wight County Press: "After I looked at the photos I had taken for the first two dips I noticed that I’d had something on my head for each.
Guy said: "The first was simply a Surfers Against Sewage swim cap and the second a simple woolly hat and this made me wonder if I could change my head gear each day as well as the location of the swim."
From an Elvis wig to a deerstalker and various animal masks, Guy really pushed the boat out.

"This was more to make things more challenging for myself but it seemed to have an effect when it came to raising sponsorship.
"Luckily the weather for the majority of my swims was very kind and despite me looking like a bit of a berk, the Island generally came across as looking rather lovely (as we know it is) and many comments were made to this effect.
"I took most of the photos myself simply by holding my iPhone at arms length although a few others were taken by my friend Neil McCall.
"What was especially nice was that I was joined on a number of occasions by my wife, Julie, who would not normally go in to the sea in the height of summer let alone the end of October.
"The challenge has led us to believe that we’ll end up being members of the Dryrobe brigade before too long."
Guy has so far raised £800, with the challenge as a whole raising over £150,000 and rising.
