A POPULAR Isle of Wight cafe has announced its closure.
Kevars Cafe in the Country, based at Fakenham Farm, Eddington Road, St Helens, is closing its doors on November 17.
The team announced today: "Due to irreconcilable differences, forces beyond our control and the landlord choosing a change of direction for the premises our tenancy is now untenable.
"It is a very sad situation for us as this was supposed to be our last business before retirement and not where we wanted to be at this point in our lives.
"Kevars Cafe in the Country will be closing its doors on November 17 after nearly 20 years, from Ningwood, to Ryde, to St Helens and will be no more.
"We will be taking a break to regroup and reassess what to do next as we have not been able to secure suitable premises at such short notice. So who knows where we will go from here?
"We'd like to thank everyone, both staff and customers for their support and loyalty over the years from all our cafes. It's been a blast!
"Don't forget if you want to come and see us for one last hurrah please do so before the 17th!"
Kevars built a reputation for its good value breakfasts, cream teas and lunches.
