A Red Funnel Red Jet
STRONG winds means the Red Jets have been suspended until further notice.
Cross-Solent ferry operator Red Funnel announced the service is temporarily off, tonight (Tuesday).
The East Cowes to Southampton car ferry is still operating.
The Red Funnel statement said: "Red Jet suspended until further notice due to strong winds. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to your journey."
The service was suspended this morning but did resume later in the day.

A gust of wind over 110mph (96 knots) was recorded at The Needles, overnight.
UPDATE: Hovertravel has also suspended its hovercrafts tonight
