Red Jets are now back on after earlier cancellations but Hovertravel is off until noon at the earliest.
A spokesman for Island Roads said the majority of the 100-plus callouts they received were for fallen or dangerous trees affecting the highway.
Our services are cancelled due to adverse weather (Storm Claudio) and our next update will be at 12:00. Hovertravel tickets will be accepted on the Fast Cat Service. Please see our Disruption Contingency Plan web page.

"But we also had reports of a full size trampoline in the highway at Pixley Hill in the West Wight and a collapsed private wall in Mill Road, St Helens.
“It was a very busy night with high winds causing many highway issues particularly in the northern half of the Island.
“Over 100 calls were made to the hub between 7pm on Monday and 7am today and we continue to respond to incidents as they come in.
"We would like to thank our staff in the hub and also our teams and contractors who worked throughout the night in difficult conditions to keep the network safe and open.
“We would remind motorists to take additional care when driving in these conditions.”
We will continue to provide updates on Twitter.
