WE ARE all hoping it’s coming home that time!
And where better to watch England’s World Cup group game against the USA than Quay Arts in Newport while at the same time raising money for two good Isle of Wight sporting causes.
Datum Electronics and the IW Chamber of Commerce are organising a World Cup party at the arts centre on Friday, November 25, in aid of the Isle of Wight Sports Foundation and The Wave Project.
Chamber chief executive Steve Holbrook, himself a trustee of the foundation, which supports Island sport through grants, education and lobbying, said: “There will be charity auctions on the night etc as well as the admission revenue.”
The Wave Project fund sufr-therapy sessions for up to 60 Island children each year.
“We hope people will support this fun evening.”
The £25 plus VAT admission fee (ticket only) will include two free drinks and pizza.
