A copy of a letter to Bob Seely, MP
I WOULD like to enquire if you have visited any supermarket on the Isle of Wight recently and noticed that people shopping in these supermarkets are really struggling to manage?
I am aware that inflation is out of control, and basically the country is rapidly following the same route.
What I am incensed about is seeing people cutting food bills to manage, and then when I look at your taxpayer-subsidised restaurant in the House of Commons, and the prices that you are able to dine at — and this on the backs of the same taxpayers shopping in the supermarkets.
Have MPs no shame to indulge in this?
I do understand that MPs often work well into the night, and long hours, and need to eat, but these prices that I see online — most people would love to see in their local cafe alone.
