Southern Water has again been using its outfall pipes off the Isle of Wight, most recently off Cowes, at the mouth of the river Medina.
Pipes at a number of Island locations, including those known as Sandown 1; Appley Transfer; Luccombe; and Terminus Road, Cowes have all been used in the last week.
Not all impacted bathing water sites, the utility firm has insisted.
However, a three hour discharge from the Terminus Road 2 pipe did have an affect on water quality this morning (Thursday), between 9am and midday.
Southern Water says discharge is mostly rainwater and that pipes are used to protect the sewage system from being overwhelmed.
It publishes data on its Beachbuoy website.
At the weekend, protestors met at Gurnard to call for more action.
They were joined by the Isle of Wight's MP, who spoke to the crowd.
