A BANK in Newport has closed for 'essential maintnance'.
HSBC, on the corner of Pyle Street and St James Street, will be closed until October 21, when it should reopen at 9.30am.
The bank closed on October 6 but customers have contacted the County Press to say they had not been made aware, and thought the closure should be publicised.
The only other HSBC bank on the Island is in Ryde's Union Street.
Some services can be accessed at the Royal Exchange Post Office at Pan.
Just up the road, Costa Coffee has closed for a refurbishment.
