MULTIPLE emergency service teams were called to a serious incident at Totland Bay last night (Saturday) involving several casualties.
At approximately 9.15pm, police were advised of an incident involving a boat which had ran aground with passengers onboard.

Described as a serious incident due to multiple casualties, coastguard and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were also called the scene.
"There are on-going enquires into the circumstances of the incident," said a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary.
"There are several casualties that range from walking wounded to more serious medical needs.
"These people have been airlifted to the mainland."
