The IW Arts Society’s new season will be kicked off by a visit from Marc Allum, famous from his many appearances on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow.
He has been a miscellaneous specialist on the BBC Antiques Roadshow since 1998 and has appeared on numerous television and radio programmes.
Marc has his own unique style with interests ranging from pre-history to modern design and is a self-confessed collectaholic.
He will take members and visitors on a behind the scenes look at the UK's most beloved antiques show and talk about some of the most intriguing, enigmatic and valuable finds over the last few decades.
The first lecture of the new season will take place at Northwood House, Cowes, on Tuesday, September 27, at 2.15pm.
Every month, the society will host top rated experts in their fields, to give illustrated lectures on a wide variety of subjects connected to fine art, including painting, sculpture, music and history.
