A POPULAR shop - bursting at the seams with pop-culture goodies - has announced it is moving to new premises.
Heroes, which specialises in comics, games and collectibles, is currently based at Scarrots Lane in Newport.
After 18 successful years the business is now set to relocate into its own premises, affording more space. The new location has yet to be announced.
Owner James announced on G=Facebook: "The whole reason we started Heroes, many years ago, was to create a place for like-minded people to get together and share their enjoyment of comics, films, TV, games and every other aspect of pop-culture, and we never could have imagined how big a community of people we have had the privilege of meeting first as customers, and quickly counting as friends.
"Over the years we’ve grown to having busy daytime hours bustling with customers, and just as busy evenings, with our various gaming nights for Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Warhammer and many other games, really allowing us to create the community hub we always wanted to offer.
"And now as some of you might have noticed, we’re bursting at the seams with all kinds of great products for you to buy – there’s so much amazing stuff out there, and we really want to make as much of it available as we can, which is why we’ve stuffed our shop to the ceiling with everything we can fit!
"We thought it was appropriate that with Heroes now turning 18 years old, was ready to make the grown-up step of leaving the nest we grew up in and move out into our own place, big enough to do everything we always wanted.
"So to that end, we’re absolutely thrilled and extremely excited to announce that we have the keys to our very own building!
"This is a building with tons of space for us to realise all the many ideas and plans we’ve been brewing for years, but never had the room for, and it’s in a great location - more on that very soon!"
James thanked the staff of Heroes and their family and friends, plus all the customers over the years for their support.
