IT WAS forecast yesterday and now it has been confirmed - a tornado hit the Isle of Wight during stormy weather today (Tuesday).
Forecaster Jamie Russell, from the IW Met Service, confirmed: "A small supercell crossed the Island just after 12.30pm and it even managed to produce a confirmed tornado."

Damage has been reported in areas including Yaverland and St Helens.
