HEAVY rain, thunder and lightning is visiting the Isle of Wight tonight.
There are reports of heavy rain washing down slopes as the drains struggle to cope with the sudden deluge.
Totland has flooding on Broadway and cascading water past the toilets on the seafront.
A powercut has been reported in Wroxall and Godshill.
The IW Met Service forecast very heavy and thundery showers for tonight, but said they will clear away later in the second part of the night, allowing for occasional clear spells to develop.

An earlier forecast said there could even be a tornado or waterspout.
