A WOMAN who was arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving after a fatal crash in Apse Heath on Thursday (August 25) has been released.
The 36-year-old woman from Ventnor has been released under investigation, Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed.
Police were called just before 9.40pm to reports of a road traffic collision on Newport Road, involving a scooter and a car.
Sadly, the rider of the scooter was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision on Newport Road near the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally base at Sandown Airport.
