POLICE are searching for a man linked to the Isle of Wight wanted in connection with immigration offences.

Officers from the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) are appealing for information about the location of Terenc Malja, 31.

He has links to the Isle of Wight, North London, Birmingham, Coventry and the Edinburgh area of Scotland, and has been charged with conspiring to facilitate the commission of a breach of immigration law.

A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Malja is white, 5ft 8ins tall, and has short black hair with blue eyes, speaking in English with an Albanian accent and sometimes uses other names.

He was last seen in Portsmouth in January last year, and officers have been working to locate him. 

Detective constable Adam Knight, SEROCU, said: “If you have any details about the possible whereabouts of Terenc Malja please report this immediately.

"If you believe you’ve seen him or have any information about where he may be please avoid approaching him and instead contact police.

"If you have any details about Malja’s whereabouts please call your local police force on 101 quoting the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) investigation ‘Operation Segment’.

"Alternatively you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
