AN ISLE of Wight singer-songwriter's debut album has breached the top 40 of the UK album charts — and just days after its release, no less.
Lauran Hibberd's Garageband Superstar is sitting pretty at number 37 as of today (Wednesday).
Lauran, who grew up in Cowes and studied at Carisbrooke High School, launched her long-awaited first album on Friday (August 19).
It came hot on the heels of single, That Was A Joke, which dropped back in July.
Lauran previously described her album as "dad rock for your daughters".
She told the County Press it was a nod to all of her favourite 90s sub-genres — the "soundtrack to your next favourite trash TV show that no one else gets but you".

The album features tracks about breaking your leg, falling off rollercoasters, taking off your pants, competing with Red Dead Redemption, boys in supermarkets, writing essays on Facebook walls, and the enigma of being a superstar.
Among those to feature on the album is Brendan B. Brown of Wheatus, and Limp Bizkit's DJ Lethal.
Before heading out on tour this autumn, Lauran is performing at Newport's Strings Bar and Venue.
