EMERGENCY services are turning around traffic on a main Isle of Wight rural road this evening (Wednesday, August 17).
Police were called at 5.24pm to reports of flooding on the A3056 in Arreton.
Traffic is being turned around before the traffic lights, near The White Lion pub, heading towards Sandown.
Police teams are at the scene trying to establish how bad the flooding is.
Water is flowing rapidly from the farmer's fields onto the road.
Due to heavy flooding, Arreton has been blocked off.

As a result, route 8 buses will need to operate a lengthy diversion.
Pan Estate, Robin Hill and Arreton will not be served until the incident has cleared.
