Queens Road has reopened in one direction, but remains closed to vehicles leaving Ryde.
Work on a collapsed sewer is now mostly complete, but ten weeks of work continues as Island Roads strengthens a stretch of retaining wall.
More than a year after the stone structure partially collapsed (in May 2021), major repairs are being carried out.
Work was underway when further problems were caused by the collapse of a sewer, last week.

The major road into the busy coastal town had to be closed completely to allow for work by utility firm Southern Water.
Island Roads confirmed: "Queens Road, Ryde has now re-opened (one way).
Further work will be necessary but should be done without a road closure.
Thanks to Southern Water for working hard to allow the road to be re-opened."
Southern Vectis says routes 4 and 5, and the Downs Breezer, will not serve Parish Church bus stop until the wall works are complete.
