A SANDOWN man has been left £836 out of pocket and banned from driving after failing to identify the driver of a Ford Transit van.

Jack Muir, 32, of The Fairway, had his case proved in his absence at Great Yarmouth Court House in Norfolk.

It was heard that he failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle when required, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence, on November 19, 2021.

The offence took place in Lowestoft, Suffolk.

Muir was fined £600, and must pay a £66 surcharge and £110 court costs.

He was given six penalty points and was banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending.
