THE closure of a main road in Ryde is causing major traffic delays this afternoon (Friday).
Queens Road is currently shut due to a blocked sewer.
Island Roads says Southern Water will be working hard over the weekend to resolve the issue.
In the meantime, motorists must divert via Argyll Street.
Traffic build-up is considerable, and motorists are advised to avoid this part of the town if possible.
