THE Isle of Wight branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) presented its 2021 awards at the Travellers Joy, Northwood, at the end of last month (July).
Pub of the Year 2021 was the Travellers Joy, which beat Newport Ale House; Highdown Inn, Totland, and the Crab And Lobster Tap, Ventnor, into second, third and fourth respectively.

The Beer of the Year 2021 awards were also presented and the winner was Fuggle-Dee-Dum from Goddards Brewery.
The Goddards brew beat Earls R.D.A from Island Brewery; Yachtsman's Ale from Island Brewery, and Dark Side of the Wight from Yates Brewery into second, third and fourth places.
The London and South East Area Champion Beer of Britain 2019 in the Gold Barley Wine and Strong Old Ale Category was also presented to Yates Brewery for Yule Be Sorry.
The awards were presented by Bob Seely, Isle of Wight MP, and John Nicholson, chairman of the Isle of Wight branch of CAMRA.
