Late on Saturday night (July 16), a water main burst at the junction of York Avenue and Adelaide Grove.
Today, a second water main has burst close to the original.
Three-way temporary traffic lights are in place outside the former York Avenue garage, and there is restricted access to Adelaide Grove.
A spokesperson from Southern Water said: "We have a team on site repairing the burst.
"Water supply should return to normal within three hours.
"You may notice some discolouration or low pressure at first; this is completely normal when there’s been a disruption to the supply and is only temporary.
"Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."
