WALK, run or dance your way through the Island’s happiest 3km — today's the day for the Rainbow Run.
The weather's looking great for the chaotic and colourful Rainbow Run - Bubble Fun 2022, which takes place today (Sunday) at the IW County Showground at Northwood.
Now in its fourth year, the 3km family fun run is Wessex Cancer Trust’s biggest annual fundraiser and features a fun-filled course of giant inflatables, colour stations and bubbles.
For the first time, this year’s course will take the shape of an actual rainbow.
The charity’s head of fundraising, Sally Hillyear, said: “Rainbow Run has become a firm favourite in the Island’s summer events calendar and the winning combination of giant inflatables, rainbow paint, bubbles and sunshine always create the most amazing atmosphere.
“We’re super excited that the route this year will form the shape of a rainbow, so make sure you’ve got your trackers at the ready!
“Since it started, Rainbow Run has raised more than £100,000 for Island families living with cancer and, this year, we need your support more than ever.
“Missed diagnoses and delays in cancer treatment due to Covid mean we are experiencing an ever-increasing demand for our services and your support means we can continue to be there for more and more Islanders when they need us most.”
This year’s Rainbow Run is sponsored by ARID Design and Management Consultants and will also include entertainment, food vans and a licensed bar.
All participants will receive a medal.
