Thankfully, it was also still sunny when they sang Sunshine on Leith (shout-out to the camera operator who spotted a man in the crowd sporting a dingbats-style black t-shirt, emblazoned with a sun and the word Leith, in time for a crowd shot during the song).
I'm On My Way proved to be another popular addition to their Main Stage set.
The Proclaimers have been to the Isle of Wight Festival before, but it's been more than a decade since they last crossed the Solent to perform here.
Let's hope they don't leave it so long to come back, next time!
