We all knew it was happening but at 6pm on Friday the Red Arrows display team still managed to take the Isle of Wight Festival crowd's breath away with a spectacular display.
Soaring into sight, the reds flew up around the site for 15 minutes before a finale over the stage.
They 'drew' a heart for the crowd and dipped in and out of sight, drawing great cheers as they reappeared.
No stranger to the Isle of Wight Festival, they were welcomed back with delight from revellers and the clicks of thousands of cameras and mobile phones.
