The Isle of Wight Festival's Big Top was crammed to capacity and so was the surrounding field last night (Thursday), for Happy Mondays.
Day one's headliners pulled a huge crowd to the Big Top for their hit-filled set.
With Shaun Ryder, Bez and Rowetta up front and Shaun's brother (the band's original bassist) Paul also on stage, they were described as tight and entertaining.

Of course they performed Step On, Kinky Afro and Loose Fit, while frontman Shaun Ryder joked with the audience that he confuses the Isle of Man with the Isle of Wight.
As ever, Bez was energetic throughout, and gave away maracas to the kids who stayed up late to watch.
Earlier in the evening, Rick Parfitt Jnr delivered a high energy set, The Compozers took to the stage and vocal powerhouse Heather Small delivered her hits.
Main Stage opens today (Friday) and its headliner is Lewis Capaldi, while Craig David presents TS5 brings a late night party to the Big Top.
