THE Isle of Wight Festival returns this weekend (June 16-19), with a line-up that boasts Lewis Capaldi, Kasabian, Muse, Tom Grennan, Happy Mondays, The Proclaimers and more.

Tens of thousands of music lovers are descending on Newport this morning (Thursday), for four days of partying.

After you've danced the night away to your favourite act, you'll need to revive your spirits when the sun comes up.

Of course the site itself has plenty of catering and you may even have brought your own eggs and bacon, but what about a gentle walk to an Isle of Wight eatery instead?

Have we missed any? Be sure to tell us your favourites!

For the morning after **that** night before, here is our pick of the five best breakfast venues within walking distance of Seaclose Park....

The Bargeman’s Rest is a quaint Island pub situated alongside the River Medina in Newport Harbour and is a regular favourite for festival-goers year on year.

Are you hungry? Like, really hungry?

The Bargeman’s offers three different options when it comes to their All Day Breakfasts. ‘The Tug’, ‘The Barge’, and ‘The Titanic’.

All are served with locally scourced pork sausages, smoked bacon, free-range fried egg, grilled tomato, mushrooms, baked beans, and your choice of either fried bread or toast. The difference is, one is served with a single pork sausage, the other with two, and the other with three - no prizes for which option the latter is named.

Open from 10.30am across the weekend, The Bargeman’s Rest boasts an impressive selection of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan friendly choices.

It would be rude not to mention ‘Big Lounge Breakfast’, consisting of smoked back bacon, cumberland sausages, hash browns, baked beans, slow-roasted tomato, black pudding, button mushrooms, two fried eggs and two slices of toast.

Is that enough to cure your hunger hangover?

If you crave a more lightweight brekkie, Correo Lounge offers breakfast muffins, served with cumberland sausage, smoked back bacon and a fried egg on a toasted English muffin.

Open Friday and Saturday from 9am, and 9.30am on Sunday, the Newport High Street eatery has an online menu available to view here.
