The Isle of Wight Festival returns on Thursday (June 16) and as always, it means some diversions and directions, in and around the Seaclose Park site in Newport.
The Isle of Wight Council has confirmed the key road closures and dates for Islanders heading to the county town, over the next fortnight.

When will Fairlee Road partially close for the Isle of Wight Festival 2022?
A one-way system will be in place on Fairlee Road, Newport from tomorrow (June 15). Traffic will be allowed to drive into Newport but outgoing traffic will divert via Staplers Road.
Each night of the Isle of Wight Festival (June 16-19), Fairlee Road will close altogether to ensure the safety of pedestrians.
Timings will vary, but motorists are encouraged to avoid the area between 10pm and 2am.
What will happen for Isle of Wight Festival-bound cars arriving in East Cowes via Red Funnel?
Cars arriving at East Cowes's Red Funnel terminal will be directed up York Avenue and along Whippingham Road. It will turn right onto East Cowes Road and into the Isle of Wight Festival car park.
Pedestrians arriving at East Cowes will be able to get on buses outside the Red Jet terminal on Castle Street.
What will happen for Isle of Wight Festival-bound traffic arriving via Wightlink from Portsmouth?
Vehicles travelling via Wightlink's Fisbourne terminal will be directed to the right, on to Kite Hill. It will go through Wootton, down Lushington Hill, straight over the Racecourse roundabout and left, onto East Cowes Road and into the festival car park.
Seaclose Park partial closure for Isle of Wight Festival
Seaclose Park is now closed. Access to Medina College fields, the cycle track between Newport Quay and Island Harbour, and Seaclose Park itself is now restricted.

For those who need vehicle access to Newport Quay, off Fairlee Road, use the bridge and avoid going through Seaclose Park.
What will happen if Isle of Wight Festival car park entrances are blocked, or if there is an incident?
If any of the entrances to the car parks are temporarily blocked, or an incident occurs, there are a number of diversion options.
Festival traffic can be temporarily ‘stacked,’ away from the main roads, before being released into the network once the problem has been resolved.
