DOCTOR Who was spotted on the Isle of Wight — or rather, one of the actors who formerly played the character. 

Paul McGann, famous for portraying the eighth incarnation of the Doctor, was filming on our shores this week. 

The 62-year-old is involved in a project with Kerrie Taylor, best known for her role in ITV family drama Where the Heart Is.

"It's been great working with these two great actors over the past couple of days on the Island," announced Filmwight, which promotes the Isle of Wight for film, TV and photographic projects.

"More details about what we were filming to come in the next few days!"
