Yarmouth RNLI lifeboat crews assisted a yacht with engine failure in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, June 5).
The all-weather lifeboat, Eric and Susan Hiscock (Wanderer), was launched by HM Coastguard at 2am to assist a 55ft yacht.
Yarmouth's RNLI volunteer crew were woken and called into action as the casualty vessel struggled to make way against the tide.
The yacht was located north east of Warden Ledge and was being swept back towards the Shingles.
Assessing the situation and ensuring all three people on board were safe, the coxswain decided to toe the vessel to the nearest safe harbour - Yarmouth.
Yarmouth RNLI lifeboat was ready for service at 3.45am.
