HOVERTRAVEL marked the Queen's Platinum Jubilee with a fly through the Solent this afternoon (Friday).
The 70-mile flypast lasted two hours, and as well as the Needles, it took in Osborne Bay, Cowes, Ryde, Seaview and Bembridge.
The hovercraft flew west from its base at Ryde, passing the Needles, before looping back east to speed past Hayling Island.
Neil Chapman, managing director of Hovertravel, previously said it is Hovertravel’s gesture of gratitude to Her Majesty for her 70 years of service to the country.
Hovertravel is also marking the Platinum Jubilee weekend by giving out free commemorative postcards to customers and will take part in the Ships Salute on Saturday, June 4, at midday.
