A POPULAR Isle of Wight shoe store has opened a new branch.

In Step Shoes, which can already be found in Sandown and Newport, has opened a new shop in Ryde.

Business owner, Danny Jackson, who also runs Bernard's in Newport, is excited to bring his well-known business to the former Ladies Realm on Ryde High Street.

Back in September last year, it was revealed Ladies Realm in both Ryde and Sandown would be closing.

Ladies Realm was founded in Redditch, Worcestershire, in 1954, by Eric and Pam Stubbs.

The first Isle of Wight store opened in April, 1961.
