INQUIRIES continue in the Oakfield area of Ryde after a man was stabbed, with the police making an appealing for information.
A man aged in his 20s suffered a non-life threatening wound to his back following a suspected knife attack yesterday afternoon (Friday).
He was taken to St Mary's Hospital in Newport following the incident in Oak Vale.

Last night, Island police made a further statement on the incident on social media.
The police spokesman, Sgt Radford, said: "You may have seen on the local media about an incident in Oakfield, Ryde. You may also see a large response of police, some armed officers and the ambulance service.
"We are conducting local enquires and I do not believe there is any threat to the wider public.
"Please avoid the area and unless absolutely necessary and do not approach the officers."
