Isle of Wight school children have been dressing the part and celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
As most schools break up for the May half term, many have been marking the event a little early, ahead of the long weekend on June 2-5.

From a giant 70 in Sandown, to a parade fit for a Queen in East Cowes, Island children are making the most of the anniversary.

In Sandown, pupils at The Bay CE School have been making a Jubilee carriage out of junk - ranging from from jet-propelled carriages to one that had a private jacuzzi!
Amelia Unsworth, Sienna Jarman, Oliver Middlehurst, Rosie Butchers and Skye Hood, Corey Mead, Charlotte Jenkins, Oliver Eglese and Blaize Shilton, accompanied by Mrs Lawrence and Mrs Payne, presented a flag and mugs to the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

Meanwhile, the whole school wore red, white and blue clothes, also making a giant 70 and planting two oak trees.
In East Cowes, at Queensgate Foundation Primary School, children are dressing as kings and queens, or in red white and blue today (Friday) and held a parade around the school field.

At Laneseend Primary in Cowes, the whole school held a Platinum Jubilee Celebration Day. Each year group came dressed to mark one of the decades of Queen Elizabeth’s reign, from the 1950s to the current day.
The children all made their own crowns to wear and flags and ate a celebration picnic lunch outside.
The day finished with a cake sale and a visit from the Plaza Ices ice cream van.

At St Thomas of Canterbury School in Carisbrooke, Teddy and Noah made crowns and dressed the part.
