COULD Bestival make a return to the Isle of Wight?
Yarmouth-based DJ and music producer Rob da Bank hinted that Bestival could, one day, return to the Island.
Rob is best-known for starting Bestival – or ‘boutique festival’ – which ran until 2016, before the event moved to the mainland.
Speaking in the first episode of the Island Stories Podcast, Rob was asked whether the event would come back to the Island, to which he replied: “I get asked that at least once a week. I don't know, I mean, never say never.”
“There are currently no plans, but I tease it now and again… Bestival is 20 years old next year, and the brand is still there, the feeling is still there.
“So, something might happen. But now I've said that people will just think that it's coming back, but we'll see!”
