Launched in October 2019, the cruise ship is one of the newest vessels in the Hapag-Lloyd fleet.

She is one of a three-ship exhibition class designed for luxury expeditions, cruising to smaller ports and destinations inaccessible to larger vessels.

Tomorrow will be HANSEATIC Inspiration’s first visit to Cowes.

At 138 metres in length, the ship can carry 230 passengers and 175 crew across seven decks.

HANSEATIC Inspiration has a marina for launching a fleet of inflatable boats for shore expeditions, five restaurants and bars and two extendable glass balconies.

The cruise ship is on a ten-day trip that started in Madeira in Portugal on April 14, calling at Porto Santo, Islas Cies in Spain, Isle of Scilly, Fowey, Portland, Cowes and finishing in her home port of Hamburg in Germany on April 24.

HANSEATIC Inspiration is the first of 15 cruise ships due to call in Cowes this year.

The next vessel due is the Sea Cloud Spirit, a 136m modern sailing windjammer, which arrives on June 10.
