Cineworld's fire alarm was set off twice deliberately - for no reason.
CINEMA-GOERS at Cineworld were evacuated this afternoon (Wednesday, April 20) after Newport Leisure Park's fire alarm was set off deliberately.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) were alerted by an alarm monitoring company shortly after 3pm.
Isle of Wight Police said a group of girls set the Cineworld fire alarm off twice - for no reason.
This alarm also meant the evacuation of Pizza Hut, The Gym and Burger King, which share the building on Newport Leisure Park.
Firefighters from nearby Newport Fire Station were not required to attend.
