Car boot sale season is very much back on the Isle of Wight.

After a long winter break businesses, sellers and buyers alike were able to take a look through a wide variety of items seeing if they could spot any bargains.

The popularity of car boot sales has certainly not waned and if you were interested in attending one you might be curious for when the next events are scheduled across the Isle of Wight.

For a huge amount of bargains to find, here are some of the places you can find a car boot sale on the Isle of Wight from April and throughout 2022.

Where are car boot sales on the Isle of Wight?

Calbourne

Taking place at the Calbourne Recreation Ground, these are a bit different to most of the car boot sales, as they take place on a Friday afternoon.

It costs £5 for a pitch with sellers being able to set up from 4pm and buyers getting access at 4.30pm.

They start today, Good Friday.

Chale

The Chale Car Boot Sale takes place on the Chale Recreation Ground and they have numerous events every two weeks up until late September.

It costs £5 per car and £8 per van for pitches. Sellers can set up from 9am, with buyers coming in from 9.30am.

Colwell Common

Colwell Common won't get their car boot sales up and running until May, but will be running one every Saturday from May 7 to September 24 this year.

There is no need to book, with cars costing £5 and vans costing £7 to set up pitches.

Fighting Cocks

The car boot sale at the Fighting Cocks pub in Arreton has been going since mid-March, and will run every Sunday until further notice.

It costs £7 for cars and £10 for vans to set up a pitch, with sellers being allowed to set up from 8.30am.

Buyers can shop for bargains from 9am to 11am.

Newport Carnival 

The Newport Carnival Car Boot sale came back on Sunday, April 10 and is held at the County Showground in Northwood.

It costs £5 per pitch, with sellers allowed to set up at 8am before buyers have from 9am to 1pm to shop around.

This car boot sale is a monthly event, with the date for May not having been revealed yet. Information on this can be checked on their website.

It has free parking but donations encouraged to support the Carnival and The Island Young Farmers.

Sandown

The Sandown Car Boot Sale takes place every Saturday at Fort Street Car Park.

Sellers can set up from 9.30am, with buyers coming in from 10.30am until the event finishes at 1.30pm.

It costs £5 for cars and £7 for vans for pitches.
