PLANS have been unveiled for a new outbuilding classroom at Medina College — adding the environment to the curriculum.
The new structure is proposed to be suitable for pupils to have a covered and secure space to undertake outdoor-related lessons.
Documents submitted to the Isle of Wight Council show the small building would be built near other school buildings if approved.

Planning agents, on behalf of the school, Elmstone Architectural, say it would provide students with an outdoor, environment and sustainability-focused curriculum.
The new building would also be hidden from the view of dwellings on Fairlee Road by the existing hedgerow.
