FIVE more people have died on the Isle of Wight, after contracting Covid-19.
The latest government data shows three new deaths at St Mary's Hospital.
Two were recorded on March 25 — the other on March 23.
It means 242 people have now died in hospital on the Isle of Wight, having contracted Covid-19.
Two new community deaths have also been confirmed, recorded in the weeks up to March 4 and March 11.
A total of 404 Covid-related deaths have now been recorded on the Isle of Wight, since the start of the pandemic.
There are currently 47 people in St Mary's Hospital with Covid-19, the latest data shows.
Numbers of hospital patients with the infection have risen sharply in recent weeks, since March 9.
