ROADS have been closed in Shanklin while the emergency services deal with a crash.
The busy junction of Arthur's Hill, Atherley Road and Hope Road is best avoided for now.
The accident happened around 1pm today (Sunday).
Hampshire Constabulary and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are at the scene and have been contacted for further information.
A motorcyclist is being treated at the scene by paramedics.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "Police were called at 1.05pm on Sunday, 27 March to reports of a two vehicle collision on Atherley Road, Shanklin.
"The collision involved a car and a motorcycle.
"The motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries and has been taken to hospital."
There is currently no access down to Shanklin seafront by car.
