FROM the very good to major improvement necessary — Island restaurants, cafes and businesses have been ranked on their food hygiene standards and practices.
Inspections are carried out on premises that serve, sell or produce food and drink by the Isle of Wight Council's environmental health officers.
They are then ranked across three categories — hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and food safety management — to determine how safe and clean they are.
Ratings are awarded, ranging from a five (Very Good) to a zero (Urgent Improvement Necessary).
