A PRELIMINARY trial date has been set for a man charged with causing death by dangerous driving near Arreton.
The next stage in the case of Mackensie Hallett, of Arundel Road, Ryde, was heard at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Monday.
The 19-year-old is charged with causing death by dangerous driving, near Arreton, in 2020.
Michaela May Logan, of Carisbrooke Road, Newport, was 19 years old when she died in an incident between Horringford and Hale Common, on January 10, 2020.
She had been driving a Ford Fiesta on the A3056, while Mr Hallett was in a Ford Focus.

Mr Hallett was not arraigned, but a preliminary trial date was set for the week commencing September 26.
By May 10, he must give an answer to the allegation against him.
His case was adjourned to May 16.
Mr Hallett was granted unconditional bail.
