AFTER 30 years, Ryde Seafront car boot sales are no more.

The organiser said due to "financial, personal and other reasons" the sale, outside LA Bowl, will no longer run.

Russell said: "I thank all our loyal supporters and public and all our regular buyers and sellers for their valued support and keeping us going after 30 years of being there.

"This has been a difficult decision. I thank everyone involved and will still see you at other car boots."

After Covid, some car boots are making plans for a comeback.

The former Sandown Airport car boots run by Sandown and Shanklin Lions have been held at Fort Street Car Park in Sandown on Saturday mornings throughout the winter, where the sales will continue.

Chale Car Boot is back this year, from April 10. Dates are April 10, April 18, May 2, May 22, June 2, June 19, July 3, July 17, August 29, September 11 and September 25.
