WITH Storm Eunice looming, one Isle of Wight school has made the decision to close its doors tomorrow (Friday) and switch to remote learning.
The news comes after a red weather warning was issued by the Isle of Wight Met Service.
The local forecaster says winds will reach 100mph on the Island's exposed south coast, and higher at the Needles.
It means conditions will be 'very dangerous' with 'significant risk of accident'.

The Bay CE School, in Sandown, will close to all students in Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
The school said the closure is due to the weather warning, as well as current building works being carried out on site.
All students will be expected to carry out remote learning from home.
In a letter to parents and carers,, the school said: "Due to the Island issuing a red weather warning and nationally amber, we have decided to move to a remote learning day for our secondary students tomorrow.
"The main contributing reason for this is the building work we currently have going on and around the site, and even with all precautions put into place, we are still concerned at the risk.
"In order to keep everyone safe to, at, and from school, we have decided to go to a remote day."
