A DEPRAVED Newport man who admitted to a number of child sex abuse offences has been jailed.

Keaton Martin, of Clifford Street, appeared before a judge for sentencing at the Isle of Wight Crown Court.

Martin, 24, admitted engaging in sexual communication with a child, causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence.

The offences took place between June 15 and July 9, 2020.

Martin also admitted three counts of making indecent images of a child, on July 13, 2020 ­— one Category A, seven Category B, and four Category C.

The judge, Recorder Malcolm Gibney, handed Martin three years in custody and placed him on the Sex Offenders' Register indefinitely.
