THERE'S a chance to win one of two signed copies of actor John Lyons' autobiography thanks to Shanklin Theatre and the County Press.

Rumpus Theatre Company presents a thrilling, intriguing new whodunnit at Shanklin Theatre on February 22, 23 (including matinee) and 24.

Father Brown — The Murderer in the Mirror is based on the classic mysteries by G. K. Chesterton and stars Lyons, best-known for his 17 years as DS George Toolan, David Jason’s sidekick in A Touch of Frost.

His autobiography, Not Just George, tells of his life and acting career. His other TV appearances include Upstairs Downstairs, The Onedin Line, On the Buses, George and Mildred and The Sweeney.

In the Shanklin show, he plays mild-mannered priest Father Brown, who always seems to be in the right place at the right time — if you count always being around when a murder is committed as being in the right place!

Isle of Wight County Press: John Lyons' book Not Just George.

When a famous actor is found dead just before the opening of his latest West End production, Father Brown sees at once in the shattered dressing room mirror that all is not as it seems.

And if all the possible suspects were on stage at the time, watched by Father Brown, who could possibly be the murderer?

To win a copy of the book, simply answer this question.
