THE Co-op store in Freshwater has announced its permanent closure has been brought forward.
The Co-op was set to close on Saturday, February 5, at 5pm.
However, due to the popularity of the store closure clearance activity, the decision has been made to bring forward the permanent closure date.
Tommorrow (Friday) is the last chance to stock up from Freshwater's Co-op store, as it permanently closes at 5pm.
We previously reported that Freshwater Post Office, inside the store, would also close on Saturday, but due to the earlier than expected Co-op closure – it looks likely the post office will also close sooner than expected.
The store, off Afton Road, is set to become a Tesco and will still contain a post office.

A spokesperson from Co-operative Food Freshwater said: “On behalf of the team at Freshwater, thank you for your support and custom.”
The post office announced that it is due to reopen on Thursday, March 24, at 1pm.
