Plans are afoot for the return of the White Horse Inn at Whitwell, as a sous chef position is advertised.

Posted on Facebook (HERE), the advert is searching for someone to assist the kitchen manager, to maintain a 'top standard operation.'
It says: "Work with a great team, eat great food, set shift pattern across five days, holiday pay, optional pension scheme. Pay is negotiable on age and experience.
"Experience preferred in this role but open to someone wanting to take on a new challenge, with cheffing experience."
The role starts at the beginning of March.
The first White Horse Inn is believed to date from 1454 and is the Isle of Wight's oldest.
The popular venue has been closed since December, after months of lockdown and challenges for the hospitality industry, due to Covid-19.
