THE date of Freshwater Co-operative's closure has been revealed, ahead of its long-awaited changeover.
The store, off Afton Road, is set to become a Tesco, and will still contain a post office, the organisations involved in the delayed store changeover previously confirmed.
Originally, it was due to change hands in September, and its staff were to become Tesco employees instead.
But when that date passed, the swap-over moved to November, and then December, according to Isle of Wight councillor Chris Jarman.
Now, at the end of January, an official closure date has been confirmed — Sunday, February 6, at 4pm.
